Unlike northern and central Russia, golden autumn comes latest to Crimea—at the end of October, and sometimes even at the beginning of November. In my opinion, this is the most comfortable time, as there are no crowds of vacationers, but it is still warm enough. The most interesting subject for photography is the beech forest, which takes on shades ranging from yellow to red, more reminiscent of copper. Pure beech forests can be found all the way from Ai-Petri along the southern coast, but one of the most beautiful places is the vicinity of South Demerdzhi. Beech trees are quite demanding on the climate, so the beech belt begins at an altitude of about 500 to 1300 meters. The dense tree crowns look beautiful both from a distance, like a colorful canvas, and directly in the forest itself, where you can find many interesting scenes. If you are lucky with the fog, the forest will look even more magical.
